RULES
While we don't want to bog down the whole "fun"
process with a bunch of rules and stuff, there are a few things that need to be
followed if we all intend to enjoy ourselves. Most of them are common
sense, but for those who don't have any, here they are.
General
- For AOR club members, it is strongly recommended that
you use the club Ventrillo chat program at least during practice and
qualifying (this is of particular benefit in the event of server problems).
- There is to be no unnecessary text chat during the last
5 mins of practice, qualifying or the before all drivers have finished the race (including pit
in / pit out messages). Offending drivers will be sent to the rear of
the field for the next race.
- Any flaming or abusive language will not
be tolerated. Any offending drivers will be banned from the server for
the whole series.
- Accidents happen. If you have a problem you believe to
be caused totally by another driver, please send an e-mail
to me to me advising of the lap number the incident occurred and a brief
statement. All replays will be viewed from the server replay and
punishments given if necessary (see the protest
page for more info).
- Drivers joining from outside AOR must be reasonably competent
and be within a reasonable time of the fastest driver at the end of
qualifying or they may be asked to leave or be removed if they refuse to
leave.
-
Races will be open to all Aus and NZ drivers with passwords posted in the open
forum for each week, but preference will be given to AOR
members
-
There will only be race restarts due to server problems and not because of
driver error, so be careful at race starts and into turn 1, lap 1. A
race cant be won on lap one, but it can be lost.
Driving
- It is the responsibility of the driver behind to
make a safe pass, and it is the responsibility of the driver in front to
allow sufficient racing room. A good guide is to assume the driver
behind you, is alongside you when they no longer appear in your rear
or side mirrors.
- If you find yourself in an accident that you think you
may have caused, allow the affected driver to lead off from the accident
scene. Any driver who fails to so this might see themselves missing a
race or two from a penalty.
- Use caution in the pit lane and always enter you pit
bay from the far left side of pit lane.
- Blocking is unacceptable. A driver may move from the
racing line one time only to defend their position.
- Under no circumstances will deliberate
wrecking be tolerated. Any offending driver will be banned from the series
and may be banned from AOR
